Whether by train or car: Semmering is always easy to reach.
Semmering is located on the eastern edge of the Alps and has a direct connection to the Semmering expressway. By train you travel comfortably from Vienna or Graz via the southern railway line. Directly with the Railjet or more comfortable with the regional express.
Arrival by train
The Semmering is easily accessible by train. Railjets also stop every 2 hours and the regional trains offer all hikers and excursionists good connections for your explorations in the Semmering area.
Worldheritage Mobil in Semmering region New from June!
A demand-oriented culture and hiking shuttle as well as an increased frequency on the existing VOR lines through the Höllental and onto the Preiner Gscheid (341 and 342) close the first and last kilometers for the guest. The cultural highlights, excursion destinations, hiking starting points and accommodations in the Semmering-Rax region can now be easily reached by public transport. With the new mobility offers, visitors can move flexibly and, above all, in a climate-friendly way through the vacation region.
