Whether train or car: The Semmering is always easy to reach.
The Semmering is located on the eastern edge of the Alps and has a direct connection to the Semmering expressway. By train you can travel comfortably from Vienna or Graz via the Südbahnstrecke. Directly with the Railjet or more comfortably with the regional express.

Arrival by train

The Semmering is easily accessible by train. Railjets also stop every 2 hours and the regional trains offer all hikers and excursionists good connections for your explorations in the Semmering area.

Zauberberg Shuttle

During the holidays and weekends you can take the Zauberbergshuttle free of charge from the train station to the Semmering pass. Here you can find the timetable.

Cable Car Semmering

Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and so much more is offered by the Semmering Hirschenkogel ski area.
The range of slopes comprises 14 kilometres of slopes, 13 of which are illuminated for World Cups. The selection of slopes ranges from the family run to the FIS World Cup panoramic slope to the freeride area.
Tobogganing fun for young and old is offered by the 3 km long, illuminated in the evening, adventure toboggan run.
